These Terms of Use apply to your use of HoldMyPlace, an independently developed web-based tool designed to help users track their progress while working on tapestry crochet and other crochet projects.
By accessing or using HoldMyPlace, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use HoldMyPlace.
HoldMyPlace provides tools that may allow you to upload crochet patterns or images, track rows and stitches, manage colour changes, record crochet sessions, monitor project progress and view project statistics.
HoldMyPlace is currently independently developed and may continue to change as new features are introduced.
You may use HoldMyPlace for personal, lawful purposes.
You agree not to use HoldMyPlace:
HoldMyPlace allows you to use your own patterns, charts, photographs and other content within the tracker.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate rights or permission to use any content that you add to HoldMyPlace.
This includes patterns that you have purchased or obtained from designers, marketplaces or other websites.
Using a pattern with HoldMyPlace does not give you permission to reproduce, distribute, sell, share or otherwise use that pattern in a way that is not permitted by its copyright owner.
HoldMyPlace does not claim ownership of patterns, photographs or other content that you add to the tracker.
At present, content added to projects is stored locally within your browser rather than intentionally uploaded to a HoldMyPlace user account or database.
The HoldMyPlace website, software, functionality, original graphics, branding and other original material associated with HoldMyPlace are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of HoldMyPlace or its intellectual property to you.
You may use the website for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, reproduce, sell, redistribute or commercially exploit HoldMyPlace's software, branding or other original material without permission, except where permitted by law.
These restrictions do not apply to crochet patterns, photographs or other content belonging to you or third parties simply because that content is used within HoldMyPlace.
HoldMyPlace currently stores project information locally within your web browser.
This can include your project progress, uploaded patterns, session information, statistics, photographs and other project information.
Because this information is stored locally, it may be lost if, for example:
You are responsible for keeping copies of any original patterns, photographs or other information that is important to you.
HoldMyPlace should not be used as the only permanent storage location for important files.
HoldMyPlace is designed to assist with crochet tracking, but it cannot guarantee that row counts, stitch counts, timings, statistics, colour information or other information will always be accurate.
You remain responsible for checking your crochet work and pattern where accuracy is important.
HoldMyPlace is currently under active development.
Features may be added, changed, temporarily unavailable or removed as the website develops.
While reasonable efforts may be made to keep HoldMyPlace available and functioning correctly, continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
HoldMyPlace may also be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues or circumstances outside our control.
Although HoldMyPlace is designed to remember your progress, no website or browser-based storage system can guarantee permanent preservation of information.
You should not rely on HoldMyPlace as the sole copy of information that would be difficult or impossible to replace.
Where permitted by law, HoldMyPlace is not responsible for losses resulting solely from the loss, corruption or deletion of locally stored project information where reasonable care has been taken in providing the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
HoldMyPlace relies on third-party services to operate certain aspects of the website.
These currently include services such as Netlify, Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics.
HoldMyPlace is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services or for outages or failures that are outside our reasonable control.
Information about how third-party services may process information when you use HoldMyPlace is available in the HoldMyPlace Privacy Policy.
HoldMyPlace may occasionally contain links to third-party websites, products or services.
These websites and services are not controlled by HoldMyPlace, and their content, availability and privacy practices are governed by their respective operators.
The presence of a link does not necessarily mean that HoldMyPlace endorses the third-party website or service.
HoldMyPlace is provided as a tool to assist with crochet projects.
Reasonable care is taken in developing and maintaining the website, but HoldMyPlace is provided without a guarantee that every feature will always operate without errors or interruptions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, HoldMyPlace will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any rights or remedies that you may have under applicable consumer law.

Using HoldMyPlace does not remove or reduce any privacy rights you may have under applicable law.

Access to HoldMyPlace may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users or third parties from misuse, unlawful activity, security threats or other harmful behaviour.
HoldMyPlace may also be discontinued in the future.

HoldMyPlace is still developing, so these Terms may occasionally be updated to reflect changes to the website, its features or applicable requirements.

Your continued use of HoldMyPlace after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by applicable law.
